I'm never going to say these words again. I won't mutter the familiar phrase. 'Cause the last time that I did I wiped a teardrop from my face and said that I was miserable to friends. If it was up to me I'd play it on repeat until my eyes and ears were worn. This room holds the ghosts of all my moments, of temporary peaks and troughs throughout. Could it be this tiny room could hold the fountain of my youth? But to drink would be to drown so what's the use? And that would mean at the end of the day nothing that we build will ever stay. But what's the point if you can't laugh along the way?

We're both of the opinion that we're on the same side but we don't agree. There might come a day where we both do and say the same thing. But for now it's just fighting and it is dividing the ones that we love. It seems simple to me so why can't you see where I'm coming from? So that's it...when you push a pull door and stand there like 'Shit it's so hard.' and give up. But there's no way I'm turning round and walking out. Sometimes people are buildings built on foundations of reason and love. Other times it's frustration, a lack of engagement from parties involved. Upon reaching and impasse one tends to blow up to reason lay waste. This spent
energy makes sense until my brain is re-engaged. So what now? Off the handle I've flown and downhill I go it's foolish, I'm daft. An argument I can't win and I shouldn't start.

Cold winds blow, the moonlight hurts my eyes, shadows fall in line. We should probably be home asleep except we're out smiles all around. Could it be we disagree from time to time...we don't see eye to eye. Did we walk this way? The footprints change the way I feel, less than ideal. Scale motorway verge in no fit state, we set fireworks off mate. Were you aiming for that train? I don't think I'm getting any...I doubt this makes any sense. This is it, no time to quit you've made your bed, now go through with it. It doesn't seem as fun, in silence stunned drenched to the bone a long way from home.

Uncertain certainty makes a fool of me. We might return but after lessons learnt and miles and miles of petrol burned. Breathe in hold on. Take time to notice all the things that come along. Days like these are yours and mine so don't hold back. Kick me out of this dozey daze. Satisfaction shouldn't go to waste. We are all that we make. So do it right. Some things are easier said than done. Building up boundaries too strong for one. When we put our minds together in song. So now's the time.

It was two years ago when I first saw your face. So very irritating in so many ways, but I had a funny feeling I just couldn't place. It could be the start of something good. After a while we started seeing eye to eye. It's hard to concentrate with your head up in the sky. We laughed together and I held you as you cried. It was the start of something good. In time you'll come to learn that everything must end. But despite how hard life gets you'll always have a friend. I was proud to know you and your broken hearts will mend in time. But for now...it's time to say goodbye. I know you're going where I cannot follow soon with that resilience that kept you
fighting through. You've taught me more than I could every teach to you. A lesson learned of something good. So don't waste your worrying on me 'cause I'll be fine. Savour these moments saved like snapshots in your mind. My swollen heart is bursting, bursting out with pride. Here at the end of something good.

It all started so pleasantly a conversation, a drink or three but we both know I get carried away. And we both know that I know all the right words to say but as the night slips further out of view. I think about the things I don't want to do, but we both know you get carried away. And we both know that it won't end despite what I say. I thought I was stronger and I thought I was brave. The night spins I can't find my grip. I tried to hold on my fingers slip into the darkness I'm carried away. I think of any distraction to dull this attraction. So I turn and lock the door, bury my face in the floor I didn't want this. It's no excuse you got carried away. It's not my
fault you got carried away. I tried to hide until my time was up, 'cause I make terrible decisions drunk. When will I realise that enough's enough and get the hell out of this place? Silently praying that you'll just give up because I know that you don't give a fuck. We're well beyond you just pushing your luck get me the hell out of this place.

You watched it bleed out, you let it die. Some composure's just undignified. No word from the jury, nothing left to say. A tried and tested formula to help fade away. It's never dead and gone. If you keep marching on.Take your hand from around my neck. Put your fingers in your ears and check if that droning sound was always me or embedded in your mind. From there we'll see if you and me get out of this alive. With only a small crack the bone would break. The flying shard and splinters would not hesitate. When doubting the question. They second guess. Will they burn or float or levitate? Just you wait.

This isn't ideal, this torture's so surreal and more than meets the eye. This image makes no sense, the message meaningless. Narrative deprived. Please don't get me wrong. I don't know where to start or where to look or what to say except. Give my regards to everybody else but you. It seems impossible to smile when you're awake. Some people might say you're an acquired taste, but that's a nice way to say. You are lame. Without any reason why you give a damn good alibi. And while your lips are moving I'll internally sigh. We don't talk any more. It's never going to be OK. A stony silence where we once laughed. Not even a smile today. Faint heart never won fair maiden not for lack of trying. It's tearing my heart out. Came home couldn’t breathe or recognise what's going on and what's gone wrong. We're strangers at best. Familiar faces lacking common sense Street signs, fluorescent lights convinced to stay the course. But where's the love and remorse? Now is the time to say goodbye. After years and year of getting by. So raise a toast to hopeless hopes and fears that you might get it right.
